The following examples of boro stitching may propel you to create your own garment that combines the Japanese mending technique  with raw-edge appliqué and fabric layering. In the article, Rae walks through how she made one jacket using this slow-stitching technique coupled with the other techniques. Now, she shares these additional examples—a vest and second jacket.
