64″ wide fabric

jamama | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

I need to make a  round  card table cover that is 64″ in diameter. Any ideas of where I can purchase a piece of fabric this wide that would be suitable such as poplin, bottom weight, microsuede or twill or such??? THANKS!!!

Have you checked the upholstery fabrics or drapery fabrics - they often come in wider widths - sometimes as wide as 180" - even sheeting comes in large widths.  Even a King size flat sheet would be wide enough to make a table cloth that wide.

Thank you Frances, I will check that out!

I think the microsuede might be on the expensive side for this, especially if people might set drinks down on it.  Almost any washable fabric might be enhanced by a layer of lightweight batting on the back or as a liner to help protect the table.  Good luck in your search and enjoy your project!  Mary
