Dear rekha – I immediately thought of you when I read this in a “Friday Humor” post from my friend, Merril ~ “A school teacher injured his back and had to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body. It fit under his shirt and was not noticeable at all. On the first day of the term, still with the cast under his shirt, he found himself assigned to the toughest students in school. “Walking confidently into the rowdy classroom, he opened the window as wide as possible and then busied himself with desk work. When a strong breeze made his tie flap, he took the desk stapler and stapled the tie to his chest. “He had no trouble with discipline that term.” I hope your recovery continues apace, and you’ll be able to get back to the fun stuff soon! Bright Blessings!!!Kharmin

Oh my that was funny!
Thanks for the giggle! I just finished my last teaching day of the academic year and definitely needed a laugh....
I'm going to pass this on to my son who is just starting his career as a High School physics teacher in the fall.
Great! Perfect, in fact! BTW, I may have misdirected the original post - I know that *somebody* is having spinal-fusion surgery this month, but I couldn't locate the post about it using the "search". :( Glad you all are getting a smile like I did, and I hope that the dear lady with the "pickle barrel around her chest", as a friend of mine once described the recovery device, gets a non-painful grin, too!Bright Blessings! Kharmin
Thanks for sharing the laughter! I'll be giggling in my sleep tonight. Mary
What light relief; the teacher wasn't fortunately thrown the blackboard chalk cleaner - he would have had the last laugh
Kharmin, you've done it once again! LOL I have my teaching degree, but since I can't find a position teaching, I sub. Mostly in HS although my degree is in Elem. HS students can be brutal...especially for a female sub that is only 5'2 and weighs 110. I may just make a 'body double' out of heavy duct tape to wear the next time I have a difficult group.....can you imagine me stapling something to my 'chest' in front of those kids....(deep and onery chuckle)
Deb
