Adjusting front and back seat rise

user-7630834 | Posted in Fitting on

How do I adjust the rise in the pics?  If I sit down the back does not cover my butt.  There is a wrinkle in the front too.

Watch Sarah Veblen’s Pants Fitting videos here on Threads. They are excellent! It fixed my back seat rise and bagginess under the butt issues.

Believe it or not the front adjustment involves taking in the front seam slightly from about 2'' from crouth to about 4" below waist. Sounds strange but it works.
In the back you need to have a deeper crouth seam. Almost like going from a U shaped seam to a L shaped seam. It's like carving out the seat a little more. And extend the back seam to waist line about 1" to 1 1/2" by the look of it .
Please post pictures with the changes.
