Hi Corrine. I have an Ott Light floor lamp with a magnifying attachment that I've head for years. It's great for needlework and doesn't strain the eye like halogen lights sometimes can. Cynthia

I also like the Ott lamps. The halogen lighting tends to be very hot and I have gotten burned accidently touching it. The Ott lights are cooler and you can get True color bulbs which show the actual colors of your fabric that you are using.
