Air Lift for Sewing Machine Cabinet?
I know this is a longshot, as you folks are probably not much into woodworking, but maybe there’s somebody here with dual interests (or with a spouse that has the “other” hobby).
I’m building a sewing cabinet for my wife to house her Pfaff. She’d like a lift installed, and after doing a little research, I’m interested in the “Soft-Touch air lift” that seems to be pretty standard in Horn, Koala, and other cabinets. The thing is, I can’t find a source for the lift itself. Does anybody have a clue where I might find them?
Also, for those of you that have factory-built cabinets from the previously mentioned mfgs (or any others) that use the air lift — how do you like it? Does it work as well as you wanted? Is there a better lift you’ve ever seen/used?
Thanks very much!

Mark, I don't know about an 'air-lift', but there is a sewing machine lift listed in the latest Rockler catalog. I think they used to have a couple different kinds, but I only see one listed now. If this isn't the one you are looking for, they might be able to help you find the one you want. (http://www.rockler.com)
Another idea would be Highland Hardware in Atlanta, GA. I don't have their web address, but I am fairly sure they do have a web site. They carry a lot of speciality/unusual stuff, and might be able to find it for you. If you want their addresss or phone number, let me know and I will search it out.
