Alert for electronic or computer machine

mariadelicia | Posted in General Discussion on

I have seen in several books and magazines they recommend to use a magnetic seam guide to get even seam allowances or straight topstiching lines .But in some of them they warn you not to use them in computerize or electronic machines and I think that is very important .I also think that magnetic pin holders must be away of those kinds of machines.

Thank you for that!  I was wondering about my magnetic pin holder.

myself and a lot of others use the magnetic pin cushion rt. next to the machine. No problem. Maybe check w the store or manufacturer to be sure.nancy

I've also seen the warnings about magnetic devices and computerized sewing machines and therefore never use those magnetic seam guides. I'm also careful about my magnetic pin holder and keep it away from my machine--better safe than sorry! There are also warnings about using certain thread conditioners (silicon?) with computerized machines.
