Altering back of sleeveless sheath dress

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! Daughter getting married. Have a sleeveless dress with diamond shape darts –2 front, 2 back. How do you reduce large amounts on pthe flat pattern from between shoulder blades and above waist. Front of bodice area fits fine.

    the best way to do this is with a muslin with the front darts stitched in and the back darts only marked on the muslin. start between the blades on the cb and pin to get fit you want. now continu this amount evenly up and down the cb as the new seamline. any fullness in waist area is now pinned out as you wish in the original dart positions only in smaller amounts or not at all. Mark all these new seamlines, unpin, lay a tracing of orignal over and copy new lines to it to use as new pattern for back. hope this helps bill
