Anyone remember this article?

dotty | Posted in General Discussion on

Hi all,
There was an recent article or short piece about how much ease to add to a favorite blouse pattern to turn it into a jacket or coat.I haven’t been able to come up with the right phrase to either find it in the index or here. It had a great diagram showing all the key places-neck, underarms, sideseams. Does this ring abell for anyone? thanks in advance!

Have you tried to search "grading" in the index?

Its not really about grading. My understanding of grading is that you use it to change sizes on a style. The article I'm looking for is more about the spcific differences between coats, jackets and shirts. Its not just the ease diagram put out by pattern companies either.

Did you find the article on page 16 of issue #105 on transforming a jacket into a coat? Or the article on page 72 of issue #119 on how to convert from blouse to jacket or jacket to coat.

Thank you starzoe. That was it. It was not as recent as I thought!
