Armscye seams on delicate fabrics

I have some favourite blouses/shirts for a long time and like to wear them from time to time. The fact is I have grown fat since and the seams are ripping. The fabrics are silk and polyester, not in the same garment. I wonder how to stablise the edge of the seam fabric before sewing it back on again.

    I have used selvage and then use the three step zig zag and repared the tearing You need to create a new fabric in which to sew you seam or it will happen a gain and maybe also work out if you can get some more ease into you shirt by letting out
