Babylock Evolve Elastic Foot

Hello –
I just purchased an elastic foot for my Babylock Evolve and am attempting to learn how to use it. The documentation says to use a 4 thread overlock stitch. My problem is the thread for overlock needle 1 keeps skipping and breaking.
Has anyone successfully used this foot and, if so, do you have any ideas to what my problem may be?

I have one and have never tried to use it. Is it possible that the thread itself is the problem. Can you try substituting a diffferent spool to see if that works? Have you removed the thread completely and rethreaded it? Sometimes just doing that can fix the problem . This is the kind of problem that needs a tension control that this brand doesn't have.
