bamboo quilt batt

stitcher | Posted in Quilting and Home Decor on

Has anyone used the new, at least to me, bamboo quilt batting. I’m thinking of using it for baby quilts but would appreciate input anyone might have.

I am curious about the bamboo batting also.  I have not used it, but did try some bamboo yarn.  I was not real thrilled with it.  It seemed to separate more than it should have.  I have been afraid to try the batting in case it would also separate.

I was just talking to a local shop owner about it. I guess it's wonderful stuff, but VERY expensive--about three times the price of cotton batting. So I asked her if it was three times better than cotton and she said, "No, it's nice but not THAT nice." I haven't heard whether or not it withstands machine washing or anything like that. One thing I'd like to know about is the shrinkage on it. My assumption would be that it would have virtually no shrink, but we all know how dangerous it is to assume things.
