    hiya,

    did you find the barkcloth?

http://www.jandofabrics.com/ stock it. They are in New Jersey.

i haven't sewn with it so can't help you there, it is on my list of things to try, but not an easy fabric to find in Australia.

Hi thank you so much I have bookmarked this site for future reference. Threads did a recent article on Bamboo material and they provided vendors. But the Barkcloth was very interesting. It must take forever to get fabric shipped to you via "pony express", hoped the holidays were great for you. Cyndy

http://www.equilter.com has even got bamboo fabric.  I have been very happy with my purchases from them as far as quality and shipping and excellent customer service.

I'm pretty sure they still have bark cloth.  They are located in Boulder, Colorado and are strictly an online business.  The owner is a fabric designer and quilter.  It started as a mom and pop business in thier garage about seven years ago, now is huge and a very philanthropic company.  Now it is advertised in Threads and most sewing publications.  They also have a very strict forum and a newsletter.  Mary
