Beading on Silk

Hi! I hope there are some beaders out there who will read this and respond with some helpful information. I am going to a black-tie event in October, and I would like to make a silk dress for the event. I have in mind a beautiful butterscotch silk charmeuse, and I would like to apply a trim of four rows of gold bugle beads around the neckline, sleeve hems, and along a front drape using the tambour beading technique. Most of the articles that I have seen with regard to beading on silk have to do with chiffon. Has anyone had any experience with beading on any other silk fabrics? Please tell me your satisfaction with the project.

Sandra, you can bead on anything you want. Remember the beaded plaid wool suits a few years back? I don't know about the tambour technique, but there is always needle and thread...
