Hello, I am a new sewer looking for easy, beginner heirloom sewing projects ie,
pillows, pillowcases, placemats etc. I don’t think I am ready for the more complicated
projects. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks and Peace !

Hi...I got my baptismal gown pattern at http://www.handmades.com
They have a contact email address where you can ask about easy heirloom patterns. I was happy with the quick service and the care that they took when they packaged my purchase.
Thank you so much. I am excited to finally find a source. Peace!
I was just browsing through old messages and came across your request for heirloom pattern sources. How did you do with that? I know lindamaries recommended a company and I wondered if you've tried any of them and if you liked them. rjf
Hi - Thanks for your note. I have been out of town and have not had a chance to get to do much with this site as I am finishing up an heirloom apron that I found in a pattern book that I searched on line. It's called Heirloom Sewing for Today by Sandy Hunter. I got it thru the half.com ( it's a reduced price store thru e-bay). I learned a lot from the book and am just finishing up the apron and it turned out real nice, if I must say so myself --- pleats and all ! I did go to the Handmades website and I will get back to it for sure as it looks real nice. I want to read the message boards as I learn a lot about fabrics etc. from the boards. Shirley
PS Even though I got the book at a reduced price, it looks brand new --
