Best Regular sewing Machine?

Hi,
I am new here. My machine is being a pain with all the oiling and thread tension adjustments. I would like a new sewing machine that adjusts it’s own tension and doesn’t need oiled. I don’t want to spend anymore than I have to to get a good machine. I sew a lot (everyday) but nothing fancy. I just need straight and zig-zag stitch. What are your opinions on the best, not too expensive, machines that do what I mentioned above. I’ve seen some for 1000.00’s, way too much for me. But still what are your opinions on what you all like and would never give up.

There have been many discussions on this sight answering this question , which is probably why you aren't getting any response. Do an advance search for " buying machine " and it will bring you to many discussions of this topic.
How do you do an advance search? I tried the search on the home site but was lead to only one article. I can't find an advance search on the gatherings site.
