birdseed fabric/Alexander Henry

rsew | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

Hello to all!

I ‘m looking for fabric from Jo Ann Fabrics.  What a quest!  Has anyone seen this fabric at a Jo Ann Fabric Store??   The fabric is by Alexander Henry & is called Birdseed.  I have purchased some in a local store but cannot seem to locate this fabric in the other colors offered.   I know it’s out there somewhere-but Jo Ann Fabric has not been very helpful.

Thank you

Sherry

Have you checked out the manufacturer online, through Google perhaps?

I have googled Alexander Henry /birdseed fabric.  I really do not want to purchase on line but as a last resort I may have to.  Thanks for your input.

Hi Sherry! I'm sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with your JoAnn's experience, but I completely understand and sympathize! I hope this will help -some- I work at a JoAnn's (cutting counter), and I can assure you that they are not just stonewalling you in your search for other colorways of your fabric! Unfortunately, local store personnel have essentially *zero* information on our products that isn't on the label, or gathered from personal experience. And while products that we "already carry" but are "out of stock" on can be special ordered, that's not an option for anything that isn't already in the "planogram". Everything comes from the JA warehouse, or directly from a vendor (Wright's trims, for instance), and without a JA SKU number or UPC code (generally, unique to every size, shape and color) there's absolutely no way to get an item for you. Since you're happy with the Birdseed that you *did* find, and have located other colorways, why are you reluctant to order online? (No snark intended! Just curious...)Bright Blessings, and Happy Hunting!Kharmin
