I’d like to know what books sewers reference.  I am not a beginner but not advanced either.  I would like q go to reference for hemming, seamfinishing, seam binding, tips, tricks, instructions etc.  Love to hear your thoughts!  Thanks,

    I must admit to owning 100's of books on sewing and fashion.

    For dressmaking my 4 most turned to books are.......

    Susan Khalje Bridal Couture, 

    Carol Ahles  Fine machine sewing,

    Vogue sewing book,

    Singer sewing for special occasions.

        If you don't mind second hand books, many titles cost just a few pence plus postage from amazon sellers. Cheaper than buying a magazine.
