I finished my second pair this morning. Here are my little booties for the twins, God willing. The pattern pieces are all painted around the edges and they are embroidered with bullions. One is of the backs and one of the fronts.

Those are the sweetest booties I have ever seen.
Marcy
Thank you, Marcy.
Hi Solo,
What kind of paint did you use on the booties and did you have a pattern to make them?
Marcy
I used SofPaint, ####fabric paint that I purchased at Joanns. At one time I did a lot of fabric painting, chiefly with oils and some acrylics. This is acrylic and I really liked the hand you were left with after painting. I will use it again. I got this pattern from a link that I can't access right now as I am visiting family in Maine. I will try to find that for you when I get back next week.
Thanks Solo. Since it is acrylic, can it be washed?
I am not sure about this one. I used to treat my acrylics and oils with a heat setting process but did nothing to these booties. I will have to look more closely at the paint bottle. I think it is ok to wash. I figure they will only be in these a short time and their doting grandmother will gladly make more if they soil them to much. Such a problem!
Of course. They are so pretty.
