Here are a couple of my recent finished items. The jacket was my first attempt at lining something. And the top was out of some very cheap muslin, made without a pattern, and an attempt at making a design to embroider. I think it will be a summer morning lounge wear only.

RhettaRic: I love the colour of your jacket and it looks great on you. I also like the peasant look of your embroidered top. Such an inspiration for me. Thanks Scrubble4
Thanks, Scrubble! I haven't played with embroidery much yet, but I think it could become a new addiction. Now that I've seen Threads' tutorial on the jacket pattern - same exact one I used - I want to make another. I hand sewed the lining in at the armholes and now I see that isn't necessary!
Great jacket that fits you very nicely. And that color looks so good on you. The embroidered blouse is good, too, I would not just save it for lounge-wear.
Josefly, thanks! I think I'll get a lot of wear out of the jacket. The top was claimed by my mom last night. So I'll be making another. Perhaps I'll splurge and even get a pattern. Actually there's a downloadable Mexican peasant top pattern online, and it has a yoke. I think these remind me of something I wore when I was young.
Beautiful work. I agree with Josefly that the blouse should be used for more than just lounge-wear. Your skills look top-notch. I can't believe that the jacket was your first attempt at lining. It looks great.Sherry
Great color, and you look good in it. I couldn't pull up the second flicker, it was taking forever. You do wonderful work. I have yet to line any thing. But it's coming up this season for me to do. So, I hope I am as successful as you have been.
You did a great job on your jacket and top. The top looks good with your jeans--no need to just wear it at home!
Thank you Rodezzy, Vicki and Sherry! I love seeing everyone's projects. Though I've always been partial to winter stuff, maybe playing with more embroidery will make me a bit more of a warm weather fan.
