I am turning to this forum because when I joined a few weeks ago I got a tremendous amount of input on what I was looking for and I am hoping that I will be as successful this time.
I am now looking for the bra cups that are used in the making of a swimsuit. Although I can find them in black and white I have not had much success in finding them in a nude tone which I feel would be the color that I would use the most.
Can anyone give me a source where I might find these.
Thanking you in advance ……….

http://www.sewsassy.com has bra making & swimwear supplies- I just saw 2 kinds of nude tone cups there under the heading "swimwear." I have never used them but have read many positive things about them in the forums. HTH!

NH,
Thanks so much for your input. Yes, I have checked out sewsassy's website and so far they seem to be the best suited for what I am looking for but I could not find black listed on their site. I misposted ... it is black that I seem to be having a problem finding and they are used often in RTW so there must be a source. It just seems to me that these items should be more readily available but maybe not. I found the elastic on a site on Ebay and the lining material is available at local fabric stores so if I can just find the bra inserts I can begin with my project.

http://www.bramakerssupply.com has black cups, but they are for lingerie. I don't know whether you need special chlorine-resistant ones for swimsuits.
Good luck! - NH
Thanks NH ... I will check out the bra maker's website.

Threads issue #131 (June/July '07) has a great article on sewing swimsuits, and at the end there's a list of sources...have you checked those?
Hi Josefly,
Yes, I did scan the article on making swimsuits but never thought to check out the source list ........ duh!!!!!!! Going to do that right now!
