British Pleating Company?

Hoodlum | Posted in General Discussion on

Can any of my fellow British seamstresses recommend a company to have fabric permanently pleated with?

I used to use a company in Birmingham (West Midlands) but they dont seem to be there anymore and I am having problems finding a replacement.

Many thanks

Perhaps this will be useful. A few weeks ago, I found a link to this
    http://www.cimentpleating.co.uk/page3.htm
through an Origami List link about pleated structures.
It was serendipity that my sister sent me this information because I had just gotten a length of pleated polyester knit fabric that I don't really know how to sew with. I learned that the pleats (at least as done by these people) can be washed. I believe my fabric is like what they are calling "crystal pleats." Do you have experience with / advice for sewing pleated fabric?

Thankyou so much Tess - I will add them to favourites and contact them about my fabric very soon.
