Brother sewing machines good/bad?

I found a Brother sewing machine on sale for $150.00 and wanted to know if this brand is recommended and reliable for day to day sewing.

It truly depends on the model. Brother is like Chevrolet which has Geo Metro and Cadillac. Some models are great, others are junk.

I have a Brother PC8500D and I love it!! Actually I use this mainly for Embroidery. I have used it some time for sewing and it sews great!!. I use my Designer 1 for sewing.
