Buttonholes made by machine embroidery
Can someone explain to me how to make buttonholes with my embroidery machine? My software (Husqvarna 3D embroidery system) has a range of embroidered buttonhole options, but I have not been able to find information on how to use them.

AmyC: if the store where you bought your viking is local go back and ask. They should offer classes on how to do different things with your machine. There is also a video that came with my Viking that shows you how to do all the functions. Ask if you can borrow or buy one.
Good luck!

Amy you should have recieved some owners classes with your package that you got with your Viking unless you bought it on-line somewhere like E-Bay. Talk to your dealer or contact Viking direct to find someone close to you if you purchased it on-line they will still offer you classes but they may charge you for them. Good Luck.
Well you know I suppose that you would do it in the same way that you would place any other design in your hoop Because its on the edge of the garment maybe you need to mount the garment on a sticky stabilizer or tack it onto a larger fabric which can be hooped . Then i guess you would repeat the "design" down the hoop to get your row of button holes. Seems like a difficult way to make a buttonhole though unless they are one which include a dsegn at the end of them.
