I bought one and I do use it, but it has it's drawbacks! The chest area doesn't seem to coincide with my daughter's chest. I have been able to use it for a number of outfits but I always have to have her try things on before I finish up. I wish I had bought a more adjustable one.
I have read that the couturiers have/had individual dress forms for each one of their higher end customers. I believe I have also read that a dress form is used to help with turn of the cloth and how the pattern hangs, but I can't see how it could suit more than one person unless one used it for basic problems. Sorry I don't remember more......
I bought the Dritz superior or whatever it's called - the slightly more expensive one. It's easy to make adjustments. You have to put a bra on it and stuff it with fiberfill because it honestly doesn't have any girls to speak of.
