Has anyone bought a sewing machine off the net, and if so, would you do it again?

I have and would again, from a reliable site. What I bought was a reconditioned meant to be a short term and then a back up machine. It's cheap enough that if it breaks I won't bother to repair it, just would buy another reconditioned. I've had it about a year and it's holding up fine. I would not buy from an individual or unknown company not reviewed by someone else.
Thanks for the info. I buy on the net all the time. So, i am not scared of doing that. Was looking locally at machines today, and they are pretty pricey, so was going to try and get a reconed one or last years model for my wife. She/we won't be sewing for the neighborhood, just repairs and some pillows kind of things. What kind did you buy, and was it computrized or mechanical?
I bought a computerized Brother and then a mechanical Brother too. They're from Overstock.com (nayy) and I've been satisfied with everything I've bought from them, not just the machines.
overstock is where i was looking. Trying to find a machine that has reviews. That why you get some feed back. I am looking at a Brother 6000. Some gals gave it pretty good reviews. I believe it is last years model, but that doesn't matter. It's still new. Thanks!
I have purchased several sewing machines from Ebay. I have had good experiences with all of my purchases. I've been able to buy higher end machines for about 1/2 the cost.
I have purchased several machines, a serger and several embroidery cards on line. I purchased one machine from eBay and used 2 other on line dealers for my other purchases. One on line dealer gave free shipping and threw in some extra feet as freebies with my purcahses. I had good service from all transactions. Yes, I would purchase on line again.
I purchased a sewing machine on eBay but it was not a good idea. Turned out that the serial number had been removed so if the machine ever dies I can't get it serviced. It's worked just fine, but there's that cloud hanging over my head... This was a high-end embroidery/sewing machine so what I've missed the most is being able to get software updates.
If you are going to buy over the web, make sure you understand what the warranty is, and check for a serial number as soon as you get it. That's the mistake I made, not looking for the serial number.
