BWOF transferring tips?

kbalinski | Posted in Patterns on

I’m about to embark on a new adventure: Burda World of Fashion magazine patterns!  I’m so excited, and read the archived posts about the tracing paper, but am wondering what works best: 1) using a tracing wheel and carbon/graphite paper or 2) hand tracing with a pencil/pen/marker.

What are your opinions, and are there any other tools that will help me?

Many thanks!

I bought Saral graphite paper but it smudges. I wouldn't use carbon because it sticks.

At the end of the day wax papers perform the best

With double tracing wheel you get a much sharper line but the wheels wobble .

For delicate/slippery fabrics I use only tailor tacks and cut edges of the fabric with wave/pinking rotary cutter. On straight lines I use 60cm cutter and on curves 45cm
