   that's adorable! lucky baby!

   may i offer one suggestion? i'm sure you've noticed too, but the pants cuff fabric reads correctly only one way and it's upside down, even though i'm sure you were thinking about it being right-side-up for the rest of the pant.
   since it's only right-side-up on the inside, where it's not seen while the child is dressed, next time cut the fabric upside down if there will be cuffs on sleeve or leg. the only important part is the part that shows while the garment is being worn.

   if you want to fix the outfit you've already made, you could cut off the cuff starting about 2" up inside the leg, and sew in new pieces (with an extra inch of fabric at top, edge pinked, for overlap to help fasten to the original lining)turned the correct way. machine sew the bottom edge of cuff, outer and lining, together, then patch the inside together by hand (possibly use fusible tape like stitch witch and then baste o n top of that)

   I did notice the orientation was reversed, but only after I had it finished.  I appreciate the suggestion, but don't think I'll correct this one.  The 'hello' messages are correctly oriented for Morgan to 'read', so I think I'll call this one a design decision and pay more attention on the next ones (I have 3 more sets of fabrics).

   I found the seam-to-seam basting plus the bias binding produced such and excellent result that it is reversible with the addition on another set of buttons.

   I've moved on to a fuzzy purple jacket using the same techniques, and will probably post a picture/question about closures in this same stream.  Your comments/response would be greatly appreciated.

   Dianna,

   They are beautiful, just beautiful and fun, for children I think fun is the most important.  I tend to think in terms of what the kids will like, so I thought the pants and sleeves were intentional.  Educational and fun to read when she gets bored!!   Your choice of fabrics is great, I have such a time putting different prints together.   What size are the outfits?  I know I have seen the fabric somewhere and you are motivating me to get going and make something cute.  I have tomorrow off so maybe I can get some sewing done this weekend.

   The pattern was Vogue V8060, size was a toddler 4.  I was inspired by another Gathering posting and found the fabrics in the remnant bin.  I really liked linking the seam allowances and the results.

   The girls are visiting for Easter and I get to add the latest set of measurements to the file.  I'm hoping to whip out some leggings (since they are taller than normal), and it is still snowing where they live.  I had trouble finding a legging pattern, but did finally settle on New Look 6639.  If we have time, I have Simplicity 5540 and some strawberry/red check cotton.

   p.s.  Most recently I found a baby snap notion in the remnant bin.  That inspired a blue 'linen' baby outfit based on an old Simplicity pattern (priced at 45 cents) I picked up at a garage sale.  For once, I am ahead of schedule (boy due in May).

   Dianna,  What an adorable outfit!  Your grandbaby will be the talk of the town!  This is what I enjoy about this site - the opportunity to 'show and tell' with a truly talented group of individuals and the the seemingly endless pool of knowledge that is available here just for the asking.  Thank you for sharing. I have a great-niece due to arrive in a couple of weeks,  I think she just might need a Chanel jacket for the fall...

   Hi Dianna,

   What have you made since? I noticed from the date you posted these gorgeous Chanel dresses in 2005.

   Have you continued doing Chanel style clothing for little girls? What is your grandbaby wearing now?
