Chinese knots in chinese coins

Hille | Posted in General Discussion on

I used Chinese coins for a jacket closure. Using black rayon cord, I made a Chinese knot that was larger than the hole in the coin. After wedging the knot through the coin opening, I was able to use the cord ends to affix the coin/knot to the garment. For some reason I’m thinking there was an article about Chinese coins in an issue since 2003; another issue also illustrated how to tie Chinese knots.

Have fun making this embellishment.

Chinese knotted ball buttons are included in issue 072 p. 48; issue 64 p. 62 and in issue 121 p. 74 (which may be the one mentioned by Hille.
