I wonder if there are any opinions on Christine Jonson’s patterns? I have been away from sewing for a number of years and I am finding all sorts of interesting sources. I was thinking about making myself a pair of pants and a stylish knit pair is appealing.

There's a pretty extensive discussion about her patterns on sewingworld.com
Many of the earlier ones were designed for use with her own cotton/lycra fabrics where you don't preshrink, but make the garment, it's probably big, then you steam shrink it with the iron to fit - I think she featured this method in a Threads article a few years ago. Of course you can use other fabrics, just need to adjust accordingly i.e. use smaller size if they're preshrunk. She has some newer patterns that aren't designed just for these fabrics that are very nice.
Thanks! I read through some of the sewingworld posts and that was very helpful. Christine seems to have some devoted fans. I thought the piece shrinking with the iron was a bit tedious but several people had preshrunk using other methods with success. Maybe I'll try one of her patterns, see if I can come up with a favorite pair of pants that I can make in everything from cotton lycra to light polar fleece and can wear to a party and to the gym.
