Christmas Sewing

gailete | Posted in Photo Gallery on

After my son brought a charming young lady home to meet us at Thanksgiving and finding she would be visiting for part of the Christmas holidays, I had a fun day making her a Christmas stocking. I ended up using all three of my machines in the process. My Janome 6500 for the straight stitching (flip and stitch strips), my Janome 9000 to do the decorative stitching–so much fun to have my favorite decorative stitches back since I got the ‘new’ used 9000 this year, and I used my 300E to make the lace angel. We are hoping this young lady becomes part of our family. I’m sure ready to adopt her! Of course for part of the project, my dyslexia caught up with me as I made two fronts to the stocking. At least I caught that mistake before I wasted time doing the decorative stitching. Just went with a plain back instead.

What a cute stocking! And such a creative way to use up small bits of holiday fabrics. She would be lucky to become a part of your family.

I also have a 300e. Where did you get the design for the lace angel? It is so pretty.

    Merry Christmas!
