Clothing name labels

DonnaFordDortch | Posted in General Discussion on

Does anyone have creative ideas for name labels to go into apparel works of art?

I've seen them appliqued onto a vest.  You can also do the same with tote bags, or trim a jean jacket (yoke, collar & cuffs), or make a pillow or use them in a crazy quilt.

I am not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you asking where is a creative place to put them, a different type, or a name to go on them? Please explain more fully. Thanks, Cathy

Donna,I think a good "artsy" type of label could be silk screened. Check out Marcy Tilton's website (marcytilton.com ). She will make up a custom silk screen for about $20.00. See Marcy's Silk Screens for Sale page, she shows a T-shirt with a silk screened label. However, you could do it on the lower inside front of a jacket, on the outside cuff or hem of a sleeve. It could be an additional design element. I have been experimenting with this very thing. A lot of manufacturers are doing a silk screened logo/label nowadays, so why not us?Just an idea to have fun with-Leslie
