I’m looking for cotton knits suitable for infant/newborn clothing, and am trying very hard to avoid cute prints, pale pastels and obviously boyish/girlish designs. In other words, I’m really looking for soft cotton knits in bright primary and secondary colors like red, orange, purple, green, etc. I’d like these to work easily for both boys and girls.
Does anyone have a source? And by the way, does anyone know a source to buy baby clothes in these types of colors? Even when I can find them in bright red or blue, they always have a flower embroidered on them or a truck applique. It’s driving me crazy!

The Sew Baby site (sewbaby.com) has a huge selection of really nice quality knit and ribbing to match in many colors, including primary. They've also got the prints you don't like but maybe you can find something here that will work for you. I've used the knits, both print and solid, sewing for my grandchildren and have been very pleased.
