cover stitch machines

bonkers | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

Wow, Haven`t used the new format yet, hope I can handle it!  Does anyone have a Janome CoverPro 900 ? I have had one for 18 months and still can`t master it. I have sewed for 50 years on all kind of machines but this little devil has me stumped. Dealer is too far away and unsympathetic to be any help. I have read some reviews on it and some say each machine has its own demons. Any advice how to tame it? The start up and finish off is the worst,  Thanks, Bonkers

Went to the Janome serger page to scope out your machine.  i'm guessing it's been retired because only cover pro1000CP and another similar # came up.

If your's is like these, you should be able to use it well.  Some dedicated machines have a much more shallow harp.

This next URL uses a BabyLock but the techinque for ending  coverstitching is applicable.  There's a menu to choose from.  Your mention having a problem "starting."  Perhaps your solution is amongst the offerings.  If it's absent, post again & let us know just what the start issue might be.
