This is the hat I made for my cousin’s Crazy Hat Day contest tomorrow. Just finished it and I’m sleepy.

Nice job!! Was "Hold on People" a given theme, or just an inspiration? Sleep Well! Kharmin
My own inspiration. She had given me a theme of "A leg up". I never understood it, but I asked her permission for my own creative license and she agreed. This was my idea practically from the time she started explaining the office contest. I will let you know where she placed as soon as I know.
Love it! The polka dot fabric is the same that my daughter used to make an apron for home ec. (No wonder no one wants to sew--they do the most boring things in home ec.) The hat is way better !

Thank Jane4878, I purchased that teal and chocolate combo to make a doll this past fall. needless to say I never made the doll. giggle
Rodezzy ~ I'll bet there's enough of those scrumptious fabrics left to make a little Kitchen Witch! giggle K
That's a good idea, we'll see. giggle
I just loved the hat. Dunno why it would be a Crazy hat. Rather inspirational to me. And very creative. Loved the chenille stem people, esp the "photographer". What a fun project, tee hee, to just let loose on. Cathy
It was fun to make. Here is my cousin in the hat at the office, the hat won the contest.
Congratulations, girl!!! Well done indeed. You are so creative and such an inspiration to us. Now what about a crazy knitted hat?
Keep the fun stuff coming - Katina
That sounds like a challenge....ummm?!
and pray tell, when did you resist a challenge?
I'll have to throw down the gauntlet - a knitted one, of course.
Katina
I'll see what I can do...giggle!!!
Rodezzy! I'm going to needle you until it's done. You are more than up to making a fabulously exciting knitted hat.
Katina
O.K. O.K., I've been warned...giggle.
what fun! that hat shows your genius!
I talked to my cousin yesterday and she said that she feels that the message "HOld On People" that was uplifting along with the stick figures holding onto the hat...it struck a cord with what is going on at the office and the general economy for people.
And personally, that is my cousins personality. She is very helpful and concerned, and wanted to let people know she was wishing them well.

I can see some really funny hats in the pic, but yours was the classiest sense of humor. Plus, I think it almost looked good on her! at least the colours did! Bravo! Cathy
Thanks, the others were very inventive, and fun to see.
What a great hat, Rodezzy - & a great group pic at the office! That must have been a fun day. Was there a prize for your hat? Where did you get the wee computer & camera to add on, as well as the tags & lettering? With that hat, you're now ready for your sewing retreat with Cathy & the others this summer, eh?
Gloria
You go girl! That was awesome! Looks like a great place to work too!
I had my shoulder surgery on Dec 1 and am back in business. It about killed me to be home for three weeks and not be able to sew! The doc gave me the ok to sew on 1/26. I've been in the room at 3 times a week since. I managed to clean out some unused stuff and purge many, many patterns. I've got four proms so far, I'll be posting pics.
Good deal, glad to have you healthy and ready to get down! Wohooooo!
Glad you're back in the saddle!
