How can I create tucks/gathers in a tank top neckline. I understand it must come from the darts- I don’t want to add overall fullness, only a few tucks at the neck. If I close the darts and open it at the CF I get something to work with, but it seems to be concentrated in one place! Thanks, Helen

You can spread the fullness away from the center front by dividing the space of the newly opened dart into several parts and placing the smaller darts along the neckline as you prefer. You might also "spread" the neckline by cutting several slits in the pattern downward from the neckline, several inches long (perhaps to the fullest part of the bustline); then spread the slits apart to provide the fullness you want.
Thank you! Yes, I will open the side dart into the neckline, from the bustpoint. I will have a go at distributing the dart into the neckline too.
Good luck with it. Let us know how it goes.
Joan
