Hi Everyone,
I just found this site and I am thrilled. I’ve been sewing for a long time, but I’ve never had access to so much sewing and all the short cuts.
I am making a curtain for a window in a shower area. Did anyone hear of something to iron on material to make it water proof and if so what is it and where do I look for it. I have tried sewing a vinyl curtain but it was too stiff.
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi: This is my maiden voyage into 'gatherings', so hopefully I am posting etc. correctly.
I recently sewed a covering for a window that was in the shower (what were they thinking when they designed these houses ? ) I used rip stop nylon thinking if it worked for tents and rain coats why not the window. The choice of colours and patterns was limited but I worked with white and added some embellishments.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for the suggestion. I thought nylon would be good too, but I feel maybe it wasn't durable enough. I will try it.

I bought the nylon material today and started to make the curtain. It sews great. You are right, there were not a lot of colors to choose from. The color I chose was blue and I'm going to hem it in white. It should look nice. Thanks again.
