difference between front and bak pant

Hello! I’m reading your message since one year , I’m french but reading english is not a problem,  so there is my question :  How much difference do we need between front and back leg of a short trousers .  My back trousers has 5 in. more than the front , there is normal.

    Are the 5 inches you are asking about the width of the thigh area?

    The thigh area on the back pattern piece is usually larger than the front.  I can't tell you by how much for each pattern company but the back pieces for pants are usually larger.

      Thanks Woggy,  Yes it is... the 5 inches was the width of the thigh area and they are on the back .   So I will  give a chance to that pattern.
