Several times now I have had to log in to answer questions and then I still get the “access denied” page if I try to go back to the question I wanted to answer. I have even closed down the entire site and gone back to still get the “Access Denied” page. Even after I log in the site still doesn’t accept me Am I missing something? I thought things had improved.

And after all these years, I had to sign in to make a comment. Wonder what's up? - the teen techies are at it again!
Well, supposedly, some things have been improved, but it remains a challenge even for those of us who are technologically competent and fascinated by the content and participants of the forum.
When the advertisers who pay to have advertising on this forum realize that the readership has dropped dramatically, they will stop paying to be represented. At that point, either major changes will occur, or the forum will die out from lack of use and revenue.
Teaf, you are right on with your comments.
While I'm not a real computer geek, I am not ignorant about them. I managed a computer department at one of the facilities of a huge multi-national company many years ago and since have set up and managed websites along with various and sundry other computer work, and yet this forum change has totally frustrated me. I've posted only minimally, and I miss the "regulars" who were here every day or so and the general comaraderie among the members. I think the techies, and obviously their manager based on his arrogant remarks, have overlooked the value of this forum to the sewing community -- not only the participants but also the magazine/forum advertisers. I'd wager those advertisers cherish this forum as much as we do. I also note in the latest Threads (May issue) which I received a couple days ago has neither letters nor comments from Gatherings, at least that I noticed, which seems unusual based on the number published in recent months. I think that reflects the dwindling participation here.
All that said, I am making a concerted effort to overcome my frustration with the counter-intuitive characteristics of the forum and my anger with Mr. Revzon's arrogance -- admittedly my perception but my perception nevertheless. I miss the feeling of a gathering of friends over a good cup of coffee -- or tea......
Sign up for the Stitcher's Guild. I found this site by accident about a year ago and haven't looked back. This forum is absolutely non-usable. Whoever designed this has absolutely no idea how to let members interact. I miss my friends, but have made far more on the Stitcher's Guild forum.
Sorry you feel this way. This forum is definitely not" non-usable" I find it improving everyday and I am encouraged.
It happened again today - Saturday March 6. I had to log in to get on to the site and then I had to log in again to answer someone. Something isn't working correctly.....
