I run a small tub of water in my washing machine (agitator, top open style). I then add 1/8 to 1/4 cup Eucalan detergent. Soak 10 minutes, agitate 15 to 20 times, repeat both steps, spin dry. Air fluff in dryer. If your silk products cannot withstand this cleaning process, I don't want to buy them. I would consider this a gentle machine wash.
Therefore, I perceive silk products - clothing - as washable and, therefor, wearable.
