dress bust inserts

user-105952 | Posted in General Discussion on

Hello all!

Does anybody have a source for the thin inserts dressmakers put in-between the lining & fabric in the bust area?   Conventional bra cups (that you can find anywhere) are too thick.  I do not need to add size, just a little shape & form.  Most of them are a thin molded foam.  I have done several searches but don’t know the technical name for them & am coming up empty handed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know where you are located, but Jo-anns and Hancock were probably among your first searches, Sometimes you can even find them at wal-mart. It's really a preference thing, though... I find that the ones you stick on are better because they move with you, the ones that are sewn in don't, so if you shift the wrong way, you look....well, lumpy.
Those are the only places I can think of....good luck.
