duct tape dress form

thimbles1260 | Posted in Fitting on

Good morning!  I am new to this group as of this morning.  In reading through some of the messages I am intrigued with this “duct tape dress form” discussion.  Please tell me where you found the directions and how this experiment is working out for you!

Go to the magazine index and do a search.  There was an article in Threads.  Also, in the article there's a link to the My Twin site where you can buy the kits to make your own dress form or pants form.  I had also read through some of the old messages where others had made their own dress forms with duct-tape, paper-tape and other items.

In the August Sew News, there is a superb article, with LOTS of photos, showing how to make a dressform of brown paper tape. I have read that these are more stable than forms made of duct tape. You might want to check it out.
