duffel coat toggles

Does anyone know of a how-to site or have experience with making your own toggles for a duffel coat??

Sandy:  do you want to make the toggles themselves or the loops for the button?  JHB has the buttons, probably others do as well.

Thanks Mimi, I want to make the entire loops/ leather portion. I have already bought the wooden toggle buttons with the two holes in them, but wonder if there is something I can use as a guide for loops length cutting, leather patch placement etc. I am just being lazy...I can figure it out I guess using the overlap etc., but I know with these types of things if they are too long or otherwise not quite right, they will 'droop' and the coat  will buckle in the front. (This is for a childs coat) I thought maybe someone knew of some more interesting alternatives? Thanks!
