Eco Fleece Fabric Where to buy?

Debrajeanne | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

I have been searching for a fabric called eco-fleece.  I saw a vest made of this material and haven’t been able to find a source.  It’s very thin and light weight and has a beautiful drape to it.  Does anyone know where it can be purchased?

Hope you've had a good Thanksgiving, Debrajeanne!I was going to suggest JoAnn Fabrics, but what I was thinking of is "Eco-Felt" ~ all their solid color 72" felt is now made from 100% recycled soda-type bottles. It's got a much nicer hand than the previous stock. But that *so* doesn't answer your question! Never mind!I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions here, and if you do find it, please let us know, too! Welcome ~ and Bright Blessings! Kharmin

    At this site: http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/02/ecotip_mini_dir.php

I learned that Polartec and other Malden Mills fleeces are considered eco-fleece, made of re-cycled plastic bottles. You can read about them here:

    http://www.polartec.com/

And order by the yard from here:

    Good luck with your project.
