Has anyone ordered an elegance, valentino or ungaro mail order fabric catalog from Elegance Fabrics? They have an advertisement in the current
threads issue #90 and their web address is elegancefabrics.com. I have received an information packet, it looks interesting but just the catalogs are very expensive. I was hoping to get some feed back from Threads readers before I jumped in. Please let me know what you think.

I have been buying from Elegance for over ten years, and now buy nothing else. It is very expensive: you have to be prepared to spend $1000+ twice a year, but once you get used to their fabrics, everything else seems like junk and not worth your sewing time. Just think in terms of making a few, very good things, rather than a lot of cheaper ones.
*Dear Penelope: I too am a lover of great fabrics, and to that end I've just started a business and posted a website. I can assure you, what I have is on the very same level as Elegance, but much, much cheaper. Granted, my selection is not as extensive, but I will be doubling it by year's end.
