I am searching for directions/diagrams to make templates for Chinese Frog Closings for sewing embellishments. Because fabric and color offerings are unavailable at the sewing counters, I would also appreciate titles and sources of this information.

There are complete instructions on pages 74-77 of "101 Sewing Secrets" from the Singer Sewing Reference Library. See also past issues # 22, 58 and 78 of Threads.

I think you will find these two sites comprehensively helpful. I made some and feel after a bit of practice to want to put chinese buttons everywhere.

There is also a book Chinese knotting, written by Lydia Chen but I really don't know how good it is.
