I just wanted to let those of you who replied to my queries regarding embroidery only machines that I ended up with a Janome 300E and am very happy with it. It is a MUCH cheaper option than buying one combined machine . Mine came with customizing softwear which was part of a special deal.I have started downloading designs from the internet and it works very well.It has good stitch quality and has a giga hoop capability which i havent yet used . Thats my next lesson. So if you have been moonig over an embroidery machine consider this pathand keeping your simple machine for all the other stuff. I would even buy this machine and a new sewing machine in preference to one combined unit . It would still be cheaper!
