Does anyone know what sort of ‘enzyme’ is used in Enzyme Washed Fabric? I have purchased several pieces of linen fabric whose label states it is ‘Enzyme washed’. Makes it soft and in some cases the color has a sort of heathered effect. I have also seen this mentioned in some garment descriptions in The Territory Ahead catalogs. I am wondering if this could be done to other fabrics at home?
