Some years ago, Threads magazine (I believe – not 100% sure) featured an article about an evening skirt that was knotted in the back. It was NOT wrapped or draped like a sarong or a sari or a beach outfit, but looked more like a skirt with a bustle. As I recall the article, it was a completely no-sew skirt.
Now I’ve just moved, all my magazines are in storage, and I find myself with a beautiful piece of fabric and an event to go to and I cannot locate the article. Any ideas where I might find this article?

I think you want the Silk-Taffeta Pareo in issue #98
Hi Chinita7,
I suspect you're talking about the Quick to Make article in issue #98 on page 82--"Silk-Taffeta Pareo" by Debra Blum and Moises Diaz. It's a beautiful skirt that is wrapped and can be tied in the back just as you described. If you don't have access to the issue, please contact our customer service department by calling 800-477-8727 9am to 5pm ET Monday through Friday. They will sell you the issue if it's available, or they'll make a copy of the article for you.
If you make the skirt, be sure to post a photo in our online Reader's Closet. That's where garments are chosen to appear in Reader's Closet in our magazine!
If this isn't the article you're thinking about, please send me more information about what you recall, and I'll try to find the correct one.
