Hi, Theresa. I don't know whether you have found your fabric for men's dress shirts yet, but one of the most beautiful fabrics that I have found for both men and women's shirts is Sea Island cotton. It is rather expensive, but it is the king of cotton fabrics and has the feel of silk. Another good fabric for shirts is Egyptian cotton. Please give us more information as to what you want and where you have looked.
If you are looking to buy the fabric on-line, you might want to look for sites that specialize in high-end fabrics. Kings Road specializes in fine cottons and silks, but they do not sell direct. Their web site is still under construction; however, you can e-mail them to find the stores that sell their products. Perhaps, one will be near you. Their address is http://www.kingsrd.com/. Sawyer Brook is another purveyor of distinctive fabrics at http://www.sawyerbrook.com/. A wonderful store, based in Rockville, MD, is G Street Fabrics. You can order from them online at http://www.gstreetfabrics.com/gstreet/. There is also a website, fabrics.net that will even post a search for you among retail stores, regardless of whether they sell online.
Hope this helps.
